Corporate Safety Specialist

About the Role:

The Corporate Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining process safety management systems, policies, and procedures across all DOMO Chemicals manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the corporate process safety program, including risk assessment, process design, and equipment integrity.
  • Review and analyze process safety accident data and potential process safety events from multiple sites to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to site-based process safety engineers and other stakeholders on process safety-related matters.
  • Support sites in process safety risk assessments according to corporate procedures.
  • Develop and deliver process safety-related training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
  • Participate in corporate HSE audits and inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented across all sites.
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to ensure new processes are designed with safety in mind and comply with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety management, preferably in the chemical or petrochemical industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process safety risk assessments in the chemical industry.
  • Knowledge and experience of SEVESO guidelines.
  • Knowledge and experience of process safety standards and regulations, such as OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, SIL, and NFPA 652.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Fluent communication skills in English; French or German are a plus.
