Structural Analysis Expertise

We are seeking a skilled Structural Analysis Expert to join our team at Volocopter GmbH. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for preparing and executing stress analyses of structural parts, including classical analyses and Finite Element techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute stress analysis reports
• Ensure aircraft structure certifiability by following state-of-the-art stress analysis methods
• Conduct trade-off studies to validate design solutions
• Review and create detailed drawings
• Guide and mentor junior engineers in stress analysis techniques
• Support testing activities throughout the test pyramid and flight/ground test activities

Requirements

• University degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical/Vehicle Engineering
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a stress engineer role in a professional aerospace environment
• Proven experience with stress analyses of composite materials
• Knowledge of metal and composite manufacturing processes, testing, and production deviations
• Basic knowledge of aerospace requirements and standards like CS-23, CS-27, SC-VTOL
• Proficiency in structural analysis tools (Patran/Nastran, Altair pack) and PLM systems (TeamCenter)
• Ability to develop basic code with VBA, Python, etc.
• Strong English language skills (German not required)
