About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Flow Engineer to join our Amazon EU SARL (Germany Branch) - D70 team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in designing and improving our sort centers' material flow processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize material flow and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve process-related issues.
  • Analyze data to drive improvements and make data-driven decisions.
  • Design and implement new tools and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Train and coach field operations teams to empower them with leveraging operations tools and systems.
About the Team

Our Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team is a diverse and dynamic group that plays a central role in our success. We use air, sea, and road transport, as well as sortation centers equipped with the latest technology, to help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, supply chain, transportation, or economics.
  • Relevant experience working in a supply chain, transportation, or project management role.
  • Experience with project management, data analysis, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA from an accredited university.
  • Management experience in operations within the logistics, distribution, or transportation industry.
  • Experience in developing and/or implementing automation and material handling solutions.
  • Exposure to optimization solvers/tools and advanced simulation modeling tools.
