Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Technology to join our Product & Tech department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing delivery, system architecture, and stability of our platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teams with execution and delivery of high-quality features and improvements in line with agreed concepts, technical guidelines, and architecture.
  • Conduct concept sparring and reviews with regard to approach and effort estimations.
  • Define and oversee the decision-making process on system architecture and technical roadmap.
  • Collaborate closely with teams, POs, Product & Tech leads, and stakeholders from other departments to gain a deep understanding of the platform, processes, and business needs.
  • Lead by example and explain the reasoning behind decisions in a collaborative manner.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience heading a group of tech teams and establishing excellent tech execution and delivery.
  • Hands-on, empathetic leader with a passion for driving progress in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Experience in building or running tech organizations within bigger startup-like companies or grown-ups with flat hierarchies, network organizations, and/or servant leadership.
  • Proficiency in data and KPI-intensive environments relying on event-based architecture and data platforms.
  • Experience with React, NextJS, NodeJs, Typescript, Golang, cloud infrastructures, containerized microservices in AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken, and a good command of German.
