Internal Audit Manager

Brenntag, the world market leader in chemical and ingredients distribution, is seeking a highly skilled Internal Audit Manager to join its EMEA internal audit team.
The role can be based in any Brenntag location within Europe, offering a dynamic multicultural work environment and the opportunity to work with a friendly and committed team.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and conduct internal audit projects of Group companies end-to-end, assessing processes and controls for compliance with internal and external guidelines.
- Lead small audit project teams and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, making valuable recommendations to improve the overall control environment.
- Identify opportunities for improvements regarding business processes and efficiency of controls, providing recommendations to create added value for the Group.
- Present internal audit results and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, supporting the audit plan preparation and the further development of the audit methodology.
- Develop audit programs and follow up on recommendations and action plans.
Your Profile:
- Degree in business administration, finance, IT, or comparable qualifications or experience, ideally with a professional certification (e.g., CIA, ACCA, CPA).
- Several years of auditing or finance-related professional experience in an international public accounting firm (preferably Big 4) or in multinational corporations.
- Practical knowledge in the application and implementation of relevant standards for auditing in a complex international environment and ideally in a matrix organization.
- Strong analytical skills, combined with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in international project management.
- High motivation for independent project work and solution-oriented thinking.
- Open to travel internationally (approx. 20%).
- Fluent in English, preferably other language skills.
- Experience in the distribution or chemical industry would be an advantage.
