We are seeking a highly skilled Engine Programmer to join our team at Limbic Entertainment, a leading German video game developer. As an Engine Programmer, you will play a key role in building the foundations for our innovative games.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and contribute to the development of cutting-edge games using Unreal Engine 5.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing engine-heavy functionalities in Unreal Engine 5, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Optimizing systems at the engine level, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing efficient solutions.
  • Maintaining first- and third-party code, ensuring compatibility and stability across various platforms.
  • Supporting technical artists and level designers with tools and expertise, facilitating collaboration and accelerating project progress.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Several years of experience in game development, preferably PC/Console games, including work on game engines.
  • Excellent C++ skills and familiarity with Visual Studio.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 or another game engine, with a deep understanding of its architecture and features.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex issues, identifying creative solutions.
  • Experience working with big code bases and maintaining third-party code.
