Fire Officer - Airport Fire Department

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Officer to join our team at the Airport Fire Department in Stuttgart, Germany.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of firefighters and ensuring the effective response to emergency situations at the airport. This includes coordinating with multiple outside agencies, such as military and host nation fire departments, to ensure a swift and safe response.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of firefighters in responding to emergency situations
  • Coordinate with outside agencies to ensure effective response
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and guidelines
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans
  • Provide training and guidance to team members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • E&T Level I (completed lower secondary school / Hauptschulabschluss)
  • German certification as basic fire fighter (abgeschlossene Feuerwehrgrundausbildung, gemaess Feuerwehrdienstvorschrift 2 (FwDV2))
  • 1 year of specialized experience as a firefighter
  • Completed training in accordance with the guidelines of the US Forces Fire Prevention Program
