About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer to join our team at Hörmann Holding GmbH. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications for modern mobile communication systems in the rail industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software architectures for modern mobile communication systems in the rail industry
  • Develop software for embedded systems under Linux, QNX, and Android operating systems
  • Analyze and design software solutions in C or C++ programming languages
  • Conduct development-related testing and documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in developing software architectures
  • Several years of professional experience in programming in a high-level programming language, preferably in C and C++
  • Good English language skills in writing and speaking
  • Knowledge of the fundamental structure of telecommunications systems or comparable complex embedded systems
  • Experience with IP communication protocols and protocol stacks, preferably in the field of mobile communication (4G, 5G)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of software testing methods and test procedures
  • Basic knowledge of project management
  • Knowledge of IT security
