Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor (m/f/d) for UX Design and Content Creation to join our team at SRH Hochschule Berlin. As a Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and researching in the field of UX design and content creation, with a focus on developing innovative design and interaction solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the competence field of UX Design and Content Creation at our university
  • Develop and teach courses in UX design, user interface design, and media production, both in basic and advanced concepts
  • Acquire third-party funding through research and transfer activities
  • Participate in the development and expansion of existing and new degree programs
  • Practice-oriented teaching, mainly in English and in digital formats (e-learning, blended learning)
  • Conduct research and development activities
  • Participate in academic self-administration and contribute to the development of our university's academic programs
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant field, such as UI/UX design, interaction design, media informatics, or media design
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting languages, such as JavaScript, Python, or C#
  • Advanced knowledge of audio, video, and MR production
  • Focus on developing innovative design and interaction solutions in various application areas
  • Ability to answer development and design questions in the new media environment with forward-looking concepts
  • Advanced knowledge in human-centered design and innovation generation
  • Above-average professional and scientific qualifications in the media sector
  • Very good command of English and the ability to teach courses in English
  • Enthusiasm for passing on practical experience in teaching and applied research to our students
  • Strong communication, cooperation, and teamwork skills
  • Gender and diversity competence
  • Experience in academic self-administration at universities
  • Fulfillment of the requirements of §84 of the Thüringer Higher Education Act (ThürHG) for professors
