Senior Backend Software Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Intapp, you will play a key role in our growing software development team. You will be involved in all aspects of our product development and maintenance, including design, architecture, implementation, and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:

● Develop and maintain scalable and efficient backend systems using your expertise in software architecture and technology standards.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build microservices and implement our architecture and pipelines in the backend.

● Take ownership of key technology decisions, build for scale, and optimize for output.

● Design and implement backend services for data acquisition, processing, storage, and retrieval tasks.

● Translate business requirements into new backend services or apply changes to existing ones.

Requirements:

● Proven track record in state-of-the-art backend tasks, including software architecture, message queue systems, event-driven systems, and service-to-service communication.

● Experience writing asynchronous production code with automated tests, particularly in Python.

● Familiarity with microservices, automatic deployment in the cloud using CI/CD, automatic error and failure handling, system integration, and testing.

● Good understanding of databases, such as MongoDB and Postgres.

● Passionate about efficient, clean, and maintainable code, and actively keep the quality of the codebase in check.

● Experience working in an agile software development environment and comfortable building consensus with the development team.

● Enthusiastic about usability, design, and new technologies.

● Fluent in English (verbal and written).

● Ability to mentor junior developers and provide guidance and support to help them improve their technical knowledge and skills.
