Technical Environmental Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Protection Specialist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving the implementation of our Environmental Strategy and Objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement methodologies to minimize waste, reduce energy consumption, and decrease water usage in our organization.
- Evaluate and conduct Technical Screening in accordance with Substantial Contribution (SC) and Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) criteria, focusing on DNSH related to climate mitigation and adaptation, pollution prevention and control, circular economy, use of marine ecosystems and water resources, and biodiversity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure compliance with Technical Screening criteria outlined in DNSH categories.
- Stay up-to-date on legislations related to EU Taxonomy and provide guidance on its implementation.
- Support the EUT Technical Lead in positioning the organization regarding EU Taxonomy implementation.
- Contribute to the preparation, communication, and consolidation of feedback on EU Taxonomy drafts or updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support global EU Taxonomy (environmental) data reporting and external reporting via Corporate Sustainability.
- Master's degree in Environmental Engineering and Management, IT, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental Law, with a focus on complex projects.
- Proven ability to interpret and present complex topics.
- Experience with dashboards and digitalization techniques to provide transparency.
- Background in cross-organizational processes or projects, with a track record of success.
- Experience in change management and leading complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is considered a plus.
- Proven professional skills in complex environments.
- Ability to listen, learn, and strive for the best solution.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving, and implementation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and create decision proposals, presentations, and training materials.
- Passion for Sustainability and Environmental Protection, with the ability to persuade and engage others.
- Excellent documentation skills to convey complex concepts in a comprehensive and readable manner.
