Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Security & Risk Management Leader to join our team at DB Schenker in Frankfurt or Essen, Germany.

About the Role

As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in shaping and implementing proactive prevention and protection standards across the globe. With your analytical strength, strong collaboration, and communication skills, you will provide consultancy and expertise to support the success of our global Cluster Organizations and Business Units.

You will be responsible for handling dynamic topics and requests in the international arena, working closely with our international team to exchange knowledge and update our virtual resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as functional leader for Cluster Security & Loss Prevention Managers
  • Contribute to process optimization, harmonization, and standardization to ensure best-in-class performance and response capabilities
  • Provide guidance and support implementation of various programs across all Clusters and participate in on-site audits
  • Exchange knowledge within an international team and update dedicated virtual resources
  • Manage major incidents and provide trend-, pattern, and hotspot reports
  • Represent DB Schenker in associations like TAPA
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Academic background or equivalent education
  • Ideal multiple years of experience in an internationally focused security & loss prevention or risk management role and/or other relevant experience
  • Understanding of the global supply-chain/logistics industry
  • Cross-functional thinking and ability to understand complex scenarios
  • The drive to shape and form your skillset and bring in new ideas
  • Fluent written and spoken business English; German knowledge is beneficial
