Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Lawyer (Wirtschaftsjurist) or Paralegal to join our Legal and Compliance team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to our corporate operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and contributing to our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Company Secretarial Office with the preparation of Governance Board and Committees meetings.
  • Providing company secretarial services to European regulated corporate entities together with their branches.
  • Assisting in drafting and maintaining corporate governance materials.
  • Supporting annual and ad hoc legal and regulatory submissions and commercial register applications/filings.
  • Dealing with due diligence requests and general queries in relation to Jefferies European entity information.
  • Liaising with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, auditors as necessary.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis.
  • Monitoring changes in relevant laws and regulations and communicating their potential impact on the company.
  • Additional areas for support subject to applicant qualifications and interest, commercial contracts, privacy, strategic projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (or equivalent legal professional experience. A Master's degree (or additional qualifications in corporate or financial law will be an advantage.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
