About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Requirements Engineer to join our team at ALDI International Services SE & Co. oHG.

As a key member of our Sustainability Product Line, you will play a crucial role in enabling ALDI's Global Sustainability Strategy by developing and implementing sustainable solutions.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as driving ALDI's ambition to make sustainability affordable to our customers.

We are convinced that sustainability is essential for business success, and technology is a vital enabler of this goal.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Introducing and continuously optimizing the technical performance of our sustainability solutions and projects in an agile product team
  • Evaluating, specifying, and refining requirements together with international teams of experts and stakeholders at the interface between business and IT
  • Developing and managing interfaces for both in-house development and standard software
  • Contributing to the further development of data models based on jointly defined business requirements
  • Structuring data, considering overarching contexts and data relationships
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring data quality as well as advising business departments

Requirements include:

  • Degree with a focus on business or IT
  • Enthusiasm for data analysis and optimizing data quality
  • Basic understanding of data analysis technologies, e.g. SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau
  • Initiative, decisiveness, persuasiveness, and a very good command of English
  • Experience in the sustainability sector
