About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Software Engineering to join our team at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (UE). As a Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the areas of Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, and Parallel Computing.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in teaching and research in the field. You will be expected to develop and teach courses, conduct research, and supervise students. Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing partnerships with companies and institutions to further grow the network of the University at the Potsdam location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching introductory and advanced courses in Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, and Parallel Computing
  • Conducting research and development projects in the field of Software Engineering
  • Supervising students and grading their work
  • Establishing partnerships with companies and institutions
  • Administrative activities and committee work
Requirements
  • Completed university studies in Software Engineering or a related field
  • Proof of extraordinary qualification for scientific work in the form of an outstanding doctorate and/or outstanding scientific publications
  • Qualified professional experience in the field of Software Engineering, at least three years, two of them outside of a university
