Heating Systems Technician

This is a unique opportunity to join Southern States Cooperative as a Heating Systems Technician. As an essential member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing heating systems, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation and Repair: Safely install and repair heating systems, including propane and oil burning units, according to federal and state codes.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with facility leadership regarding daily service dispatching and provide updates on installation schedules, job progress and account issues.
- Customer Service: Represent Southern States Cooperative in a positive manner by providing reliable and prompt service to customers, communicating in a professional and courteous manner and reviewing account details and collecting payments or providing invoices.
- Tech Support: Effectively operate specialized tools and equipment, read and interpret blueprints, manuals and engineering specifications, diagnose malfunctions and troubleshoot systems.
- Licenses and Certifications: Requires license in HVAC, Liquid Propane Gas Fitter or related trade, Petroleum and/or Propane Certification, Commercial Driver's License (Class C or Class B depending upon location) and Hazardous Materials and/or Tanker Endorsement.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Experience: Experience preferred with installation and repair of propane or oil based heating systems (HVAC), equipment and appliances, as well as experience with diesel and gasoline equipment.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off and more.
