About the Role
We're seeking a skilled Financial Manager to join our portfolio company and oversee day-to-day bookkeeping processes, preparing quarterly and annual financial statements. As a key member of our team, you'll ensure accurate financial reporting and collaborate with stakeholders from various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting according to HGB and IFRS
- Build balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements from scratch
- Collaborate with internal departments on tax and financial accounting issues
- Execute remittances and payments
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and reconcile invoices
- Issue invoices to customers and manage account receivables
- Liaise with our external accountancy firm
- Support finance initiatives to drive business growth
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance
- Knowledge of IFRS and HGB, with Advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with fluency in English and German
- Exceptional analytical and structured thinking, with a high degree of initiative
- Familiarity with financial and accounting software, such as DATEV and DUO
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
Please note that this role is based in our Berlin office, and eligibility to work within the EU is required.
