We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled student to complete their final thesis with us at AEG Power Solutions.

About the Project

Our company is at the forefront of power electronics, and we are looking for a talented individual to help us develop a predictive maintenance approach for our UPS systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature research and provide an overview of the state of the art in predictive maintenance
  • Investigate UPS topology and determine characteristics for lifetime estimation of critical components
  • Implement data storage and transmission from the UPS
  • Create a model for lifetime prediction of the investigated components based on measured characteristics from the UPS
  • Investigate AI algorithms to improve lifetime prediction

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a team and excellent communication skills
  • Ongoing studies with a focus on electrical engineering
  • Openness and flexibility to challenges
  • Ability to organize independently
  • Ability to work independently and conscientiously
  • Experience with simulation tools like Matlab or Octave
  • Knowledge in microcontroller programming
