As a Senior Mechanical/Piping Engineer at Uniper, you will be part of our Future Fuel Infrastructure Team in Gelsenkirchen. Your expertise will be crucial in planning and executing infrastructure projects for gaseous fuels (hydrogen, natural gas, CO2, ammonia) in Gelsenkirchen.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Develop and create technical documents, such as specifications, pipe class determination, layout designs, 3D models, and procurement packages
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve technical processes
  • Act as a liaison with authorities, customers, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and relationship management
  • Regularly travel to meet with German authorities, customers, partners, and project teams at various locations
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements to maintain Uniper's position at the forefront of technical progress

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 10 years of experience in engineering piping systems, preferably in high-pressure applications for the energy and power industry
  • Good knowledge of German and international regulations for high-pressure piping technology
  • Proven experience in engineering and engineering management, with a track record of successfully completed projects
  • Excellent command of German and English languages in both written and spoken form
  • Leadership qualities, strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to abstract and present complex technical information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally
