About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team as a system specialist in software integration for mission-critical systems. This role involves building bridges between server software and any client application, utilizing your expertise in middleware solutions such as z/OS Connect, IBM MQ (WebSphere MQ), Kafka or other message brokers.



Your Tasks


As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for:



  • Developing and maintaining the integration architecture that supports the seamless flow of data between different Natural applications and other systems (RPC - Remote Procedure Call).
  • Implementing APIs, web services and/or middleware for effective data exchange.
  • Developing adapters for various integration scenarios.
  • Maintenance & development of security concepts to protect sensitive data during integration processes.
  • Evaluating and recommending integration tools, technologies, and frameworks.
  • Providing comprehensive documentation of integration processes, configurations, and code.
  • Working with Quality Assurance teams to implement effective testing strategies.


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you should have:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Proven years of experience as a software developer specializing in application integration.
  • Strong knowledge of integration patterns, techniques, and technologies.
  • Strong C/C++ skills required, Java and others a plus.
  • Linux and Windows skills required, z/OS skills an advantage.
  • A passion for elegant, testable. and maintainable code and an openness to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to resolve complex software issues.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
