Government Security Specialist

About the Role
SAP GS2 unit is seeking a highly skilled Government Security Specialist to support Sovereign Cloud Operations and GS2 IT. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Support technical and structural developments for highly secure environments, both customer-related and as internal infrastructure solutions.
- Support security accreditation processes and administration of technological components.
- Provide technical support for all processes at SAP that enable the protection of government classified information and uphold regulatory required confidentiality.
- Coordinate and manage liaison to external IT-service providers and technology partners.
- IT Management support of highly secure working environments in Germany.
- Mitigate IT incidents and support business regarding fulfillment of government regulations.
- Raise awareness and educate senior and local management in Germany for handling of information that is protectively marked by state authorities.
- Lead or support SAP GS2 projects from a technology perspective and contribute to meet KPI's as well as overall objectives.
About the Team
SAP GS2 unit is part of the SAP CEO Board Area and ensures strict liability fulfillment of customers' national security requirements, business enablement in sensitive industries, and compliance with Critical Infrastructure and Telecommunication regulations for SAP worldwide.
Requirements
- University degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
- 5+ years of total working experience.
- Excellent German and English language skills.
- Solid infrastructure knowledge with passion on security topics.
- Knowledge on secure operation of IT systems and landscapes.
- Experience with incident management and root-cause-analysis.
- Open to learn new technical topics in areas relevant for large scale SAP Operations.
- Self-Starter, Proactive and able to identify and solve problems.
- Strong communication skills and excellent team player with a high degree of integrity.
- Open mindset, the passion to work with people, and a positive can-do-attitude.
- Residing in Berlin or willing to move.
- Willingness to participate in international projects including travel.
- Diverse Mindset and high cultural adaptability.
- Willingness and suitability to undergo the German Security Clearance Process.
