Data Center Systems Administrator

Lighthouse is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of our global data center systems, including hardware, operating systems, and application services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain global data center systems' hardware and operating system configurations.
- Ensure compliance with Lighthouse's global standards by performing patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Provide system engineering tasks on servers, SAN/NAS, and networking devices.
- Manage and maintain core system applications, including messaging, virtualization, business continuity, and data protection.
- Provide problem troubleshooting, resolution, and act as a subject matter expert to the business on defined areas, such as Windows/Linux OS, data center infrastructure, etc.
- Provide system and user administration in the Frankfurt office, including desktops, printers, Wi-Fi, etc.
- Process system access requests and provide system utilization dashboards.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established SOP policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Provide technical support to review, analyze, respond to, and escalate incidents as needed.
- Collaborate with Lighthouse's Application, Networking, Storage, and Infosec teams.
- Participate in working groups to identify innovative approaches to leverage technology in support of repeatable workflows.
- Support security assessments and other activities to obtain and maintain authorization to operate.
- Maintain secure configurations in accordance with security and regulatory compliance (ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, etc.) in a Hybrid Infrastructure Environment (Cloud and On-Premises).
- Communicate with colleagues, management, customers, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Execute infrastructure lifecycle activities, including initial setup, decommission tasks, and data migrations as warranted.
- Very good knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage.
- Good understanding of Active Directory, DFS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, IPAM.
- Good understanding of virtualization platforms, VMWare, Horizon View, and Hyper-V.
- Very good understanding of scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Perl, or Python.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and excellent troubleshooting skills, while maintaining and fostering collaboration across the team and enterprise stakeholders.
- Strong skills in analyzing and resolving outages and incidents.
- Exceptional communication skills with internal and external clients prior to and during maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of SSL Certificate generation and deployment is a plus.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established SOP policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- 3-5 years of Systems Administration experience in the following areas:
- Managing virtual server systems in an enterprise environment (VMWare, Azure, Cisco/HPE servers, Pure/Nimble/Dell storage).
- Managing automation tools in an enterprise environment.
- At least one security or digital forensics industry certification, such as CISSP, EnCE, CCE, CFCE, MCFE, or similar.
