About the Role:

Data Engineering Specialist is a key member of our client's team, responsible for designing and deploying scalable Azure-based data solutions. As a data expert, you will craft sophisticated data models, develop robust data pipelines, and ensure seamless data integration. Your expertise in managing data storage solutions, including Azure Data Lake and SQL Database, will ensure top-notch data warehousing with Azure Synapse Analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy scalable Azure-based data solutions
  • Craft sophisticated data models and develop robust data pipelines
  • Ensure seamless data integration and implement stringent data security measures
  • Optimize system performance and mentor a team of data engineers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, document best practices, and conduct training sessions to promote continuous learning

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake Storage
  • Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and/or Scala
  • Expertise in data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
  • Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks like Apache Spark
  • Experience with data security, governance, and compliance practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in data engineering, with at least 3 years focusing on Azure data services
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with DevOps practices, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub)
