Project Financial Analyst for Modifications and Upgrades

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Project Financial Analyst to join our esteemed finance team within the Modifications and Upgrades division. This role will involve collaborating with key internal partners to evaluate the financial outcomes of various projects and provide precise forecasts along with comprehensive management reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate month-end results and prepare management reports at the market level.
  • Facilitate improvements and actively manage changes within your area of responsibility.
  • Support the Execution Leader by reviewing calculations and offering guidance on pricing Change Orders and Claims.
  • Analyze and present the financial performance of projects at a Profit & Loss level, including Change Orders, Project Variance Reports, volume impacts, and comparisons of sold versus executed projects.
  • Participate in the auditing process, both internal and external, for the designated country or market.
  • Interpret financial data and trends related to projects, drawing actionable conclusions for follow-up.
  • Review project performance against forecasts and clearly communicate the root causes of any variances.
  • Ensure that the billing plan aligns with execution schedules.
  • Issue invoices promptly upon the achievement of milestones.
  • Proactively manage overdue Accounts Receivable.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Essential experience in Project Accounting.
  • Familiarity with Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting or similar methodologies for work-in-progress evaluations.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary work environment.
  • Ability to cultivate key relationships with internal stakeholders and foster successful partnerships.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English and German is required.
