This is a local role, offering a highly competitive basic salary, annual bonus, company car, pension, healthcare, and share scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
· The Construction Manager will have overall responsibility for the management of all aspects of the relevant packages, including contractor design, procurement, contract governance, pre-construction, mobilisation, commercial aspects, and delivery through to handover with a defect-free ambition.
· They will lead a safety-first culture as a priority, in all aspects of the package management process, while reporting to the Project Lead. They must ensure that safety standards are applied to achieve the objective of zero accidents on our projects.
· They will operate in close consultation with the necessary stakeholders and departments, both internally and externally, acting as a key interface for respective package or discipline.
· They will review and comment on all design information in collaboration with the engineering team to ensure it is buildable, commissionable, and compliant with company requirements and those of the end-user.
· They will work with the Design Team and contractors to identify any design optimisation and pre-fabrication opportunities.
· They will provide input to early development stage activities, including risk management from conception to project completion.
· They will support value engineering and optimisation initiatives and deploy them across all projects.
Qualifications:
· Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in delivering general contractor or developer roles for DC Development projects, with experience in managing complex projects being a plus.
· A proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, with exemplary safety, quality, and sustainability records.
· Strong leadership and decision-making skills, as well as excellent communication abilities.
· A degree or equivalent in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
· Applicable Safety for Managers training.
