Senior Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Victaulic. As a key member of our global quality assurance team, you will be responsible for overseeing supplier qualification and management activities across Europe and Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the supplier qualification process for existing and potential Victaulic suppliers, ensuring alignment with corporate procedures.
- Support all facets of the supplier quality management system, including first-piece approvals, periodic production inspections, product/process validations and enhancements, and the development and adherence of control plans.
- Manage non-conforming material containment, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Assist suppliers in understanding and implementing Victaulic product specifications.
- Play a key role in supplier corrective actions related to internal or external failures.
- Lead team meetings for issues impacting product availability, ensuring effective communication of actions and status.
- Drive supplier development initiatives in collaboration with the Global Quality Assurance Engineering group.
- Undertake special projects as assigned by the Supplier Quality Manager.
- Initiate regular communication with internal customers to ensure clear identification and execution of quality objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in a supplier quality engineering role with proven success in supplier qualification, management, correction, and development.
- Proven experience in effectively leading and managing teams.
- Expertise in managing supplier quality to produce cast and machined components.
- Basic knowledge of facility audits aligned with industry standard QMS guidelines.
- Strong proficiency in fundamental quality engineering principles and techniques, including statistical analysis and related software.
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer, or equivalent international certification is highly desirable.
- Problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluent in English.
- Willing to travel globally as needed.
