Senior Environmental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Amazon Deutschland Transport GmbH - B78. As a key member of our Workplace Health and Safety team, you will play a crucial role in driving improvements in our sites and regions.
Key Responsibilities- Manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency.
- Implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements.
- Manage health and safety projects and policies, providing guidance and arrangements as needed.
- Drive programmes to improve technical equipment specifications and designs within Amazon.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders across the company to achieve our health and safety goals.
Our Workplace Health and Safety team plays a critical role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. We work closely with managers, associates, and local governments across our sites to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and to maintain safe workplaces.
Requirements- Education to a degree level and "Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit" certification.
- Professional training (Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung) in a technical profession, preferably mechatronics or electrics.
- Relevant experience managing projects and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and German.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership.
- Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
