Hydrogen Market Development Strategist

Toshiba EMEA is a leading provider of unique systems solutions, including variable frequency drives, motors, generators, flywheels, photovoltaic inverters, BESS inverters, and advanced automation systems for a wide range of industrial and energy applications. Key Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Assess the capabilities, products, services, and technologies of our business units to determine their position relative to competitors in their respective markets. Identify key wants and needs of the hydrogen industry and monitor industry and macro-economic trends to assess how these factors might change over time.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy in collaboration with our business units to drive business growth and expansion in the hydrogen market. Ensure new products and upgrades meet client needs and work closely with our marketing team to develop a product launch plan.
- Business Development: Identify and explore new areas of potential business and industries that might be of interest to our company. Develop business cases for our entry and participation in hydrogen markets, businesses, and industries in collaboration with our business units.
- Relationship Building: Develop relationships with a network of purchase influencers within current and potential industries to position our company to identify new opportunities. Provide input towards strategies for extending and establishing our brand into hydrogen markets, businesses, and industries.
- Internal and External Communication: Proactively and positively promote and exemplify our company brand to internal and external contacts and the general public. Implement strategies to increase internal and external awareness and understanding of our business units' objectives and achievements via effective public relations and advertising in global and local media programs.
- Content Development: Ensure the effective development, delivery, and distribution of print and electronic advertising, sales and marketing collateral, technical articles, newsletters, and related material for our business units' products, systems, and services. Provide content to our global marketing team for the creation and execution of effective, high-quality trade show activities in support of our strategic business plan.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent via education and/or work experience.
- Experience: 5+ years in a direct client-facing position in hydrogen or related industries. Demonstrated success in business development in a complex business environment with commercial activities in hydrogen or related industries.
- Skills: Proven ability to work across functional teams, demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts, and demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organisational, administrative, and communication skills.
- Proficiency: Proficiency in Word, Excel, a CRM tool, and an ERP business system. Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 40%, sometimes with limited notice.
Salary
The estimated salary for this role is between £80,000 and £110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
Location
This role is based in our EMEA headquarters, with opportunities to travel globally. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a bonus scheme, pension scheme, and 25 days' annual leave.
