Technical Sales Manager for Fine Chemicals

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Manager to join our team at Geiger Food Ingredients Recruitment & Consult. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for expanding and structuring our Fine Chemical/Pharmaceutical Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct market research to identify and pursue business opportunities to expand the company's presence in the fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals industry.
- Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new segments within the relevant industry, including the production of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients).
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers in the industry, including existing network within the chemical pharmaceutical industry.
- Make contact with potential clients, understand their needs, and tailor solutions to meet those needs, leveraging your excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work closely with the Fine Chemical BU Director to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination on projects, and liaise with HQ to provide regular updates on the development of API business in Germany and Central Europe.
- Prepare detailed reports on market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance, utilizing your analytical skills and business acumen.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry or pharmaceutical science or a related discipline, and a good understanding of APIs development and production processes.
- Results-Driven, demonstrating a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, preferably in the chemical raw materials industry.
- Familiarity with the pharmaceutical market, particularly in the production of APIs, and existing network within the chemical pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers, understand their needs, and explain the technical aspects of the products in a clear and compelling manner.
- A proactive mindset to take initiative in order to identify and pursue opportunities, and ability to collaborate effectively with the existing sales team and other departments within the company.
- Fluency in German, with proficiency in English often necessary for international business interactions and for internal communication.
