As a Logistics Operations Specialist at Syncreon, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of regional freight forwarding operations. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, organize, direct, and control initiatives that drive key operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will manage file creation and all associated services with freight forwarding and logistics, ensuring seamless communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with sales teams to ensure required documentation and information are provided for SOPs, facilitating a streamlined start-up process for new accounts.
  • Audit files weekly for compliance, focusing on estimate input, profit margin setting, and timely invoicing to maintain high standards of quality.
  • Collaborate with clients to address their day-to-day export/import documentation needs, guaranteeing proper execution of transportation files.
  • Provide clients with complete sailing details to ensure efficient information flow.
  • Negotiate with ocean lines to procure optimal solutions, balancing capacity and cost considerations.
  • Foster strong relationships with DPW's internal network and external partner agents to deliver exceptional service assistance.
  • Rapidly respond to emergency situations that may arise during the life cycle of an ocean file.
  • Network with fellow operations colleagues to ensure effective support during workflow overloads.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on ocean freight.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive initiative execution, ensuring regions achieve results the first time through questioning, analyzing, planning, and follow-up.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines, showcasing your organizational skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze numbers and attention to detail.
  • Excellent command of both English and German languages.

Compensation:

We offer a market-competitive salary package, reflective of your skills and experience. Based on industry standards and the location, we estimate the annual salary to be around $80,000-$110,000.
