About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Boiler Operator to join our team at Capron, a leading manufacturer of recreational vehicles and camper vans. As a Boiler Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of our heating systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and repair heating systems, including boilers and related equipment
- Monitor and control the supply of hot water for the production process
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the heating systems
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on boiler equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed
- Identify and resolve issues with the heating systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring a smooth production process
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
- Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and testing
- Work with external maintenance contractors to ensure the highest level of service and support
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 support for the heating systems
Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship or equivalent training in a relevant trade, such as electrical, gas, or mechanical engineering
- Desirable: certification as a boiler operator or equivalent
- High level of physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and other documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance software
