Job Summary
OHB System AG, a leading European space company, is seeking a highly skilled Subsystem Engineer to join its Electrical Systems & Data Handling department in Bremen. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the technical leadership of the Electrical Power Subsystem for a given project from pre-development to in-orbit commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical responsible for the Electrical Power Subsystem, including design, sizing, and trade-offs for satellite applications.
- Electrical Power Subsystem design authority towards customers and subcontractors.
- Assessment and evaluation of electrical power subsystem relevant concept trades across feasibility and pre-development studies.
- Analysis of system requirements and flow-down to electrical power subsystem requirements.
- Definition and maintenance of electrical power subsystem units' specifications.
- Proposal preparation, including evaluation of subcontractor proposals.
- Production and maintenance of EPS design and verification documentation.
- Responsible for electrical power subsystem reviews.
- Support to system and other subsystem reviews.
- Cooperation with project team, system engineering, and other divisions.
- Development of the electrical power subsystem verification and on-site support during testing phase.
Requirements
- Degree in electrical/aerospace engineering or comparable qualification.
- Professional experience in phase B/C/D in satellite Electrical Power Systems or an electrical power system equipment development.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High degree of flexibility.
- Enjoy teamwork in large projects.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Pro-activity.
- Experience in dealing with customers and subcontractors.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, German would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel.
