VAT Lawyer

Arendt & Medernach, a leading business law firm in Luxembourg, is seeking a talented VAT Lawyer to join its team. As a VAT Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with VAT-related issues across various sectors, including commercial, financial, public bodies, real estate, and investment funds.

• Provide expert VAT advice and services, including VAT compliance, to clients from diverse sectors;
• Review and analyze legal documents and agreements prepared by other teams within the firm;
• Participate in meetings and conference calls with clients to discuss their projects and VAT-related concerns;
• Build strong relationships with clients from the financial, industrial, real estate, public, and investment funds sectors based in Luxembourg;
• Analyze and identify client needs, working to find creative and practical solutions;
• Follow-up on client requests and draft opinions and documents under the supervision of the partner in charge;
• Liaise with Luxembourg VAT authorities and handle VAT requests, audits, claims, and litigation procedures;
• Contribute to the firm's knowledge sharing and professional development.

• You hold a university degree in law, economics, or finance, ideally complemented by a post-graduate degree in tax law;
• You possess a perfect command of French and English, both written and spoken, with German being an asset;
• You are motivated, dynamic, and able to work both independently and as part of a team;
• You have strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
