About the Role
Dow is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Campus Intern to join our Site Logistics Boehlen team. As a Campus Intern, you will play a key role in optimizing and automating our data processes, ensuring seamless loading and unloading activities at our chemical site.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and describe the railcar transshipment process from a data recording, transmission, and processing perspective, creating a comprehensive process overview.
- Identify and analyze the various systems used for data transmission, their compatibility, and interfaces.
- Develop a step-by-step automation concept with concrete recommendations for future improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including shippers, schedulers, planners, rail team, billing, maintenance, and IT.
- Additionally, create a dashboard for tracking TARGET/ACTUAL specifications of required loading and unloading quantities.
Requirements
- Currently studying for a master's degree or equivalent in Automation Engineering, Computational Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- Proficient in German and English, with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Solid technical understanding with an affinity for processes, and a quick learner with an independent working style.
