Tenure-track Professorship in Fluid-Structure Interactions

We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic individual to fill a tenure-track professorship in the field of fluid dynamics. The successful candidate will be part of the Institute for Water and Environment (IWU) and will focus on modeling interactions in various environmental flows, such as floods with moving, deformable, organic, and inorganic elements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead research projects in fluid dynamics and environmental flows
- Teach and supervise students in the study programs of the Department
- Participate in academic administration and acquire third-party funding for research and innovation
- Excellent internationally recognized scientific record in fluid dynamics and related areas
- Strong skills in numerical modeling and eddy-resolved numerical computations
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines within the Institute for Water and Environment and within KIT
The tenure-track professorship is subject to Art. 14, par. (2) of the KIT Act in conjunction with Art. 51 LHG Baden-Württemberg (Act of Baden-Württemberg on Universities and Colleges) as well as to the Quality Assurance Concept for Junior Professorships and Tenure-track Professorships at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
