We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Supplier Manager to join our team at Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG. As a key member of our Gas Services Business Unit, you will be responsible for the development and release of series production at casting and AM suppliers for hot gas components in gas turbines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to maintain quality standards, schedules, and costs to achieve exceptional results in development and component pricing.
- Contribute to the development of new turbine components and create production-ready product definitions.
- Provide technical support for series production at casting suppliers, ensuring consistently outstanding performance.
- Contribute to decarbonization by increasing the efficiency of our gas turbine components.
- Manage product and process qualifications (PPQ) as well as series production of hot gas components made from nickel-based or cobalt-based superalloys at assigned casting or AM suppliers.
- Actively contribute to the technology roadmap and initiate feasibility studies for the implementation of new design features.
- Engage early in product development processes and provide manufacturing feedback to the development department.
- Participate in product definition reviews as the responsible assessor and estimate development and delivery times for projects.
- Consider feedback from suppliers and supply chains in project planning and align with customer requirements.
- Take responsibility for estimating and tracking investment budgets within development programs.
- Perform technical evaluations of components and casting or AM suppliers in the supplier selection process.
- Assess offers regarding technical aspects and resulting costs to support Make-or-Buy decisions.
- Define acceleration measures in case of project delays to meet customer requirements and coordinate these measures with affected projects.
- Reduce non-conformance costs by performing regular supplier scorecard reviews and technical review meetings.
- Lead projects to reduce costs and delivery times at casting and/or AM suppliers.
- Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Foundry Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
- Knowledge of investment casting and/or additive manufacturing and the supplier industry, several years of professional experience in investment casting, additive manufacturing or similar manufacturing technologies, project, and supplier management.
- Experience in an international environment and in working with interfaces between R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier Management.
- Fluent English language skills are required. In case German language skills are limited, willingness to learn German is required.
- Intercultural competence and willingness to travel (international 25%).
