Sustainability Internship

Join our team at Brenntag, a world market leader in the chemical distribution industry and DAX listed company, in our Sustainability Team as an Intern and contribute to the development and implementation of our ESG corporate strategy.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the strategy, organization, and processes of international projects and day-to-day business in the field of sustainability.
  • Support in the internal coordination of initiatives, as well as preparation and implementation of sustainability workshops.
  • Support in the implementation of supply chain laws and collaborate in global climate protection activities.
  • Prepare presentations and evaluations, and create content for external and internal communication of sustainability initiatives and knowledge transfer within the Group.
  • Support the aggregation and evaluation of ESG key figures at Group level as well as ESG reporting (internally and to rating agencies such as CDP or EcoVadis).
  • Enjoy flexible working hours with the possibility of working from home and the opportunity to write a master's/bachelor's thesis on an exciting practical topic.

Your Profile

  • Degree in economics, (business) chemistry, environmental science, engineering, or a comparable course of study.
  • Initial practical experience and theoretical knowledge in the field of sustainability and/or climate change.
  • At least the 2nd semester completed.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
  • Confident handling of common IT applications, in particular MS Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Independence, reliability, and a confident manner.
