Job Title: Crash Test Team Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crash Test Team Lead to join our team at CYBEX GMBH. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing crash test activities, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee crash test team activities, ensuring alignment with company goals and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate resources for crash testing and analysis across all car seat projects
  • Plan and supervise crash tests for car seats in both internal and external labs
  • Develop theoretical models and hypotheses, analyze crash results, and provide actionable improvement recommendations
  • Supervise homologations and extensions in accordance with UN R standards
  • Assess change requests on existing products from a crash performance and homologation perspective
  • Derive technical crash requirements from specifications and evaluate safety potential in consumer ratings
  • Support child safety research initiatives and lobbying projects
  • Address compliance and quality issues related to car seat safety

Requirements:

  • Completed technical studies with a degree in engineering, physics, or a comparable field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with leadership experience
  • Expert knowledge of occupant protection, restraint systems, and vehicle crashworthiness
  • Experience in the field of child safety is preferred
  • Skilled in biomechanical analysis of crash dummy kinematics and measurement data to assess injury risk to children
  • Fluent in both German and English
  • Structured, accurate, and detail-oriented approach to work
  • Assertiveness and excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong technical understanding and able to work in a fast-paced environment
