We are an ambitious research team at the Universitätsklinikum Münster, one of Germany’s leading hospitals, seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pharmacoepidemiology Researcher to join our international group.
As a researcher in this role, you will be working on a project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), focusing on assessing the safety of medication use for oral diseases through rigorous study designs and methods from pharmacoepidemiology and genetic epidemiology. Our goal is to provide robust statistical insights aimed at minimizing observational study bias.
You will be responsible for managing a work package within the project, including preparing and registering study protocols, performing data management of electronic health records, implementing new/prevalent user or target trial designs, conducting statistical analyses, and presenting findings in team meetings and international conferences.
To succeed in this position, you should have a strong background in pharmacoepidemiology and causal inference with interest in applications, good programming skills, experience in addressing drug safety issues using large claims or electronic health records, and excellent communication skills with a command of English.

The ideal candidate should be able to adapt epidemiological methodology to questions of substantive clinical relevance, have experience in applying epidemiological designs and statistical methods to large observational data, and be proficient in Linux, R, and Python programming languages.
This full-time position comes with a salary according to German TV-L and offers the possibility to develop a personal fellowship and grant applications after the three-year funding period.
