We are seeking a skilled technical project buyer (m/f/d) for a leading client in the aerospace sector, located in the vicinity of Munich.
Your Responsibilities:- Lead all procurement activities within a core project team
- Initiate, coordinate, implement, and oversee procurement tasks for a specific aerospace project, including equipment and subsystem acquisition
- Engage in direct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers, whether through restricted or open competition
- Supervise subcontract managers for the aerospace project, including the creation of tender documentation (RFPs, ITTs, draft contracts, etc.) and manage the tender evaluation process
- Participate in boards with and without customer involvement, assist in preparing ATPs, LOLs, and Preliminary Order Letters, negotiate Change Requests, and manage contract changes
- Ensure compliance with contracts regarding quality, timelines, and costs
- Conduct regular visits to suppliers across Europe and globally, and participate in project reviews and progress meetings as necessary
- Report on project status and progress to the project manager and the Head of Project Procurement Management
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- Extensive project management experience with a focus on financial and contract management, ideally within the aerospace industry
- Strong technical aptitude to comprehend complex technical requirements
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of German is an advantage
