As a Senior Molecular Marker Specialist at KWS SAAT SE, you will play a crucial role in advancing our marker application projects. We are looking for a scientist to strengthen and support our team in the field of molecular markers and their impact on plant breeding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with breeding teams and external service providers to plan and coordinate molecular marker projects.
  • Evaluate, interpret, and communicate marker results to breeding teams, ensuring data-driven decisions.
  • Streamline molecular marker analyses and data management workflows.
  • Contribute to the development of new marker systems and analysis strategies in molecular breeding.
  • Consult and interact with breeding teams, fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Ph.D. or M.Sc. in agricultural sciences, biology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with plant or animal breeding practices.
  • Experience with molecular genetic data and the application of molecular markers.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with an eagerness to learn new software tools.
  • Good command of English (must) and German (desirable).
  • Work independently while thriving in a team-oriented setting.
