Communications Manager (m/f/d)

The PHOENIX Group is seeking a skilled Communications Manager to join our Corporate Communications team in Mannheim, Germany. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, coordinating, and implementing communication campaigns across various subject matters, including externally facing campaigns on strategic and operational levels.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to engage internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic, consistent, and effective communications on key issues and initiatives
  • Generate high-quality content for internal and external communication channels, including the employee magazine, social media platforms, website, and intranet
  • Manage and maintain our digital communication channels, including the employee app and intranet
  • Lead a network of communicators in different countries, fostering collaboration and best-practice exchange amongst them
  • Identify, contract, and manage agencies engaged to support communications activities
Your Profile:
  • 5+ years of experience in in-house communications at a large, internationally operating company or the consultancy sector
  • Strong and broad experience in both internal and external communications, ideally in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting, and ability to communicate in the right tone with various target groups
  • Proven track record of working successfully with C-level executives and subject matter experts
  • Effective synthesis, visualization, and communication of ideas, with ability to explain complex topics in simple terms
  • Exceptionally strong written communication skills, with high attention to detail and proficiency in content creation for digital channels and social media
  • Creative mind with practical solutions, understanding the limitations of budgets and timelines of large matrix organizations
  • True team player, willing to pitch-in on various other department's projects as needed
  • Native or near-native German speaker and fluent in English
