Blume2000 is a dedicated non-profit organization based in Hamburg, Germany, focused on improving the livelihoods of smallholder coffee farmers and their families. We support various initiatives in Ethiopia and Uganda, as well as at the international sector level. To bolster our team of motivated and impact-oriented professionals in Hamburg, we are seeking a Working Student (f/m/d) in Data Management & Analysis within the coffee sector.
Your Responsibilities:
As a working student at Blume2000, you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and visualizing monitoring, evaluation, and financial data. This will ensure that relevant information is readily accessible to the team, facilitating data-driven decision-making within the organization. Your tasks will include:
- Data Management: Overseeing monitoring, evaluation, and financial data.
- Quality Control: Validating the accuracy of monitoring data.
- Data Analysis: Utilizing Excel and statistical software for data analysis.
- Data Visualization: Creating diagrams, tables, infographics, and maps to represent data.
- Impact Models: Contributing to project impact models to assess the Social Return on Investment of our initiatives.
- Dashboard Maintenance: Managing our financial and outreach dashboards in PowerBI.
- Administrative Support: Assisting with various administrative tasks within the team.
You will be integrated into the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning team and will be supervised by one of our MEL Managers.
Your Profile:
- Educational Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in data science, business intelligence, economics, business administration, or a related field, with at least 12 months remaining in your studies.
- Technical Skills and Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with statistical software (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata), database management (e.g., SQL), and data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, or geospatial analysis (ArcGIS Online, QGIS) is advantageous.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Work Style: Structured and independent with a keen attention to detail and quality.
- Teamwork: Comfortable collaborating in a cross-functional, international team.
- Learning Orientation: Eager to learn and develop new skills.
- Passion for Data: Enthusiastic about leveraging data to create social impact.
- Location: Must reside in Hamburg or be willing to visit our Hamburg office regularly.
