About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to serve as the lead technical point of contact for providing expert customer service, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and emergency response for advanced equipment and systems installed at client sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead onsite troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance of complex medical devices.
  • Direct and manage technical service development from beginning to end, including SOPs, KPIs, and technical documentation.
  • Manage and update technical documentation in areas of expertise, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Thoroughly document all service procedures, parts replacements, diagnostics, error codes, fixes, and site observations in customer files.
  • Advise clients on equipment care best practices and help develop customized maintenance plans to ensure optimal device performance.
  • Assist in testing new products, solutions, and product enhancements, providing feedback to engineering teams to inform product development.
  • Develop and lead a team of service technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Ongoing transfer of information and training to other service technicians to ensure seamless knowledge sharing and expertise transfer.
  • Coordinate service tasks with clients, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
  • Organize and maintain orderly spare parts inventory, ensuring availability and accessibility of critical components.
  • Ongoing direct contact with supplier's technical team to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Report quality complaints and safety incidents, driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree (in Electronics or Mechanics preferred).
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in medical or similar field service, with a proven track record of technical expertise and leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on technical excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with systems involving electronics, precision mechanics, and medical devices.
  • Valid driver's license - required.
  • Computer literacy - hardware and networking.
  • Networking and telecoms experience - significant advantage.
  • Extensive domestic travel and overseas required (approx. 70%).
  • Ability to work independently onsite with clients, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and technical expertise.
  • Ability to work extended and irregular hours, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet business needs.
