Electrical Engineer for High Voltage Direct Current Transmission

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG. As an Electrical Engineer for High Voltage Direct Current Transmission, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of high-voltage direct current transmission projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and design high-voltage direct current transmission systems, including converter stations
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, data sheets, and layouts for transmission projects
  • Evaluate and compare bids from contractors and suppliers
  • Review and approve project plans and documents
  • Lead engineering teams and provide technical guidance on high-voltage direct current transmission projects
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG during project execution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Expert knowledge of high-voltage direct current transmission systems and technologies
  • Experience in the design and implementation of high-voltage direct current transmission projects
  • Strong understanding of the European High Voltage Direct Current Transmission Network
  • Fluent German and English language skills
  • Experience as a project leader is an asset
  • Ability to travel for international and national projects
