About the Team

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • This is a senior position within our accounting department, offering a unique chance to play a pivotal role in shaping a small team into a renowned organization.
  • You will oversee the development of our accounting policies (HGB, IFRS, RechKredV) spanning across all business divisions, guaranteeing meticulous documentation and implementation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Accounting matters, collaborating closely with stakeholders company-wide to establish relevant accounting standards and provide logical support for new product initiatives.
  • Lead the ongoing enhancement of our accounting practices, managing various aspects independently such as local GAAPs, IFRS transition, and other critical topics.
  • Initiate dialogues with both internal and external auditors to ensure adherence to regulatory obligations, including our annual group audit.

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting, financial services, audit, or a similar role at a top-tier accounting or consulting firm.
  • Advanced knowledge of technical accounting principles (HGB, IFRS), including hands-on experience with group reporting and consolidation.
  • Prior involvement in the financial services or banking industry, or within a fintech startup, showcasing profound understanding of banking-specific nuances and accounting intricacies.
  • Initiative-driven individual comfortable in a dynamic, rapidly evolving, high-growth environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex accounting concepts concisely.
