We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Economist to join our team at the Institute of Economics and Law at Universität Stuttgart. As a Research Economist, you will be responsible for conducting independent scientific research in the lab's research areas with the goal of completing your PhD in Economics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement empirical research projects to investigate economic phenomena
- Analyze and interpret data using econometric techniques and statistical software
- Present research findings at international conferences and workshops
- Collaborate with researchers from diverse backgrounds and disciplines
- Teach tutorials and contribute to the development of teaching materials
Requirements:
- Master's or Diploma in Economics or a related quantitative field
- Strong background in econometrics and statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, Python)
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Interest in topics related to economic inequality, fairness and justice views, political economy, and/or development economics
