About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Short Term Trading Solutions department in Uniper IT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating multiple initiatives, business-as-usual items, and projects primarily for the Gas area. Your primary focus will be on supporting business teams in reviewing and optimizing business processes, identifying and engaging with stakeholders to classify, document, and engineer requirements, and translating business requirements into IT and system requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business teams in reviewing and optimizing business processes
- Identify and engage with stakeholders to classify, document, and engineer requirements
- Translate business requirements into IT and system requirements
- Ownership of small enhancements, ensuring solutions meet business needs
- Lead and facilitate workshops with various levels of stakeholders across the organization
- Point of contact for business to be consulted on requirements
- Challenge requirements and provide alternative solution options (cost/benefit analysis)
- Highlight ambiguities, contradictions, and impediments in collected business requirements to the business lead
- Collect test cases from users and stakeholders and write them down
- Coordinate testing process according to the collected test cases by giving advice to PM and business leads on lead time for testing
- Advice testers of the test cases and document results of testing process
- Present testing results to PM and Business lead
- Attend meetings: Weekly JF Meetings, sprint planning meetings, sprint review meetings, retros, and stand-up meetings as well as refinement sessions for backlogs
Requirements
- Academic degree or equivalent professional qualification with at least 5 years of professional experience
- Hands-on experience in a Business Analyst role, with direct involvement in large-sized IT implementation projects
- Certification as Business Analyst like IIBA, CBAP
- Experience in Commodity Logistics (Power and Gas), Dispatch, SCADA, Scheduling, Nomination is a plus
- Ability to work both independently and within a team in combination with the strong desire to accept responsibility
- Strong analytical and structured way of thinking, high organizational skills, and IT affinity with the ability to present complex topics targeted to the audience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in order to facilitate workshops and conflict resolutions
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, proficiency in German or other languages is a plus
