Job Summary

This role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in the aviation industry. The successful candidate will have experience working with hand tools and a strong understanding of safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and resolve electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work with applicable drawings and tools to troubleshoot electrical problems
  • Plan, execute, and check own work, and if necessary, the work of contractors
  • Repair harnesses according to applicable processes or instructions
  • Use measuring equipment and crimp electrical contacts
  • Route harnesses according to applicable drawings
  • Ensure the quality of own work and, if necessary, the work of contractors
  • Report damages/defects to Team leader
  • Ensure correct tools are used to perform tasks
  • Abide by all Health and Safety / Security rules at Airbus Final Assembly Line and warehouse
  • Request advice from supervision when unsure of task or required quality levels
  • Update systems to reflect current status against daily work plan (JIRA, Airbus NC Exchange, TRACE etc)

Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or relevant manufacturing/engineering discipline
  • Experience working with assembly-associated hand tools
  • Ideal experience in the aviation business (FAL or similar)
  • Maintain good working relationships with others
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of safe working practices

Working Conditions

  • This role reports to Station Leader and Team Leader
  • Travel requirement: 0-10%
  • Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm and late shift 1pm to 10pm every 3-6 weeks. Weekend (Saturday/Sunday 7am to 4pm)
