Senior Mathematician

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Mathematician with expertise in Mathematics and T-SQL to develop and optimize our Goldmine application. The Goldmine application acts as the main data hub and backbone between TD SYNNEX's E-Commerce systems.

A critical component within the Goldmine application is the pricing engine module, requiring advanced mathematical skills to calculate millions of customer-specific product prices for other E-Commerce systems within hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize advanced mathematical algorithms and T-SQL queries to design and implement stable, reliable, and efficient data transformations, especially within the pricing module.
• Apply mathematical expertise to optimize, maintain, and upgrade the Goldmine application.
• Develop high-quality database solutions, implement complex T-SQL queries, and create procedures for importing, processing, and exporting data.
• Make recommendations on architectural landscapes, considering the intricate mathematical requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database usage issues and malfunctions, leveraging strong mathematical skills.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Mathematics or similar.
• Strong background in Mathematics, and knowledge in T-SQL.
• Strong expertise in making complex calculations and applying mathematical principles to database development.
• Nice to have knowledge of: Azure DevOps, Git version control, PowerShell scripting, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is beneficial.
• Nice to have experience with performance tuning strategies like indexing and understanding & optimizing SQL servers' internal query plans.
